Daum. Nancy, France. The Daum glassworks was founded in Nancy, France in 1875. They, along with Emile Galle who was a close associate, made some of the most beautiful pieces of glassware ever made, including their amazing Art Nouveau pieces, a return to the art of nature.  All of their work was signed.

PW 2472. Daum. Nancy, France, Small Floral Vase Museum Piece, circa 1895-1905.  A beautifully etched and enameled signed floral vase with a tall tapered narrow neck. Daum had a gift for giving a natural light look to their Art Noveau pieces as with this vibrant and full of the essence of life green base and elegant deep peach top. The leaves and flowers stand in relief to the matte etched multi-colored background glass and are enameled with fine detail to bring them to life. The top and fine details of the flowers are gilded. A stunning and elegant example in excellent condition. Signed on the base in gild “Daum Nancy” and the Cross of Lorraine. A nice cabinet size at 4 9/16 inches in height and 2 inches in diameter.  $1825
