PW1364. Ken Rosenfeld museum piece. This is from a Limited Edition of 5 weights, offered exclusively by Frank Daniels Paperweight Store. Strawberry weights have been around since the Classical Period of 1845-1860 and were originally made by Baccarat, Saint Louis, and possibly Clichy in France. Since that time, makers of fine paperweights have continued to explore the strawberry motif. When I first saw a strawberry weight made by Ken Rosenfeld, I was extremely impressed, and I asked if he would make me a limited edition set of strawberry weights. Ken put his expertise, developed over three decades in the field, to full use and the result is strawberries that look as if you could eat them. The weight has a beautiful balance with three ripe berries balanced with three open blossoms and seven buds over a clear ground. Signed “LTD. ED. 3/5 Ken Rosenfeld 2010” and with his “R” cane. Condition: pristine/ new/perfect. This paperweight is 3 3/16 inches in diameter; 2 3/4 inches tall; and weighs one pound and eight ounces. $750
