Museum Piece. This is a paperweight that, in my opinion, could be in a museum paperweight collection, such as The Bergstrom-Mahler museum. This may be because it is historically significant, a prime example of the art, or both.

Pristine or Perfect: This paperweight is brand new with no wear.

Excellent: In excellent overall condition with no discernible chips, scratches, cracks, spalls, or other damage. It may show slight shelf wear. The older it is the more minor issues it will have. If more than 20 years old, expect a faint scratch or two. Its condition is in the top small percentage for its age.

Extra Fine: This weight is in exceptionally nice condition for its age even though it has some wear. Expect some minimal shelf wear. The older it is the more minor issues it will have. If more than 20 years old, expect a few small scratches and tiny nicks commensurate with age.

Fine: This weight is in very nice condition for its age even though it has some wear. It has no fractures, unless noted, but you should expect minimal scratches and nicks commensurate with age, as noted or depicted photographically.

Very good: In very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. May show wear commensurate with age as described or depicted photographically.

Good: In good overall condition with no chips cracks, or other major damage. It will show wear commensurate with age, such as a few scratches and nicks as described. In my opinion, it is not a candidate for restoration unless noted, and it is in collectable condition. Expect some scratches and nicks as noted or depicted.

Poor: This paperweight is a candidate for restoration. The only reason I did not already have it restored is that the cost would overwhelm its value. Use it as a decoration in a fish tank or as ballast.
